In 1988, Oklahoma Farm Bureau increased the cash reward to $1,000 for information leading to arrest and conviction of thieves, arsonists or vandals. The cash reward was part of the OKFB’s property protection service to help deter theft, vandalism and arson, and aid in the identification of stolen property. Signs were given to members to mount on fences, gates and other places around their property. The property protection service began in 1974.
