Farm leaders hold organizational meeting for the creation of American Farm Bureau Federation

May 15, 2017

After the first meeting in Ithaca, New York, farm leaders across the nation join efforts to create the American Farm Bureau at the organizational meeting held on Nov. 12, 1919, at the LaSalle hotel in Chicago. Oklahoma did not join at this time. The constitution and bylaws would later be ratified at another meeting in Chicago. For more history of the American Farm Bureau Federation, click here.
