The first regular Oklahoma Farm Bureau convention was held Nov. 4-5, 1942, at the Huckins Hotel in Oklahoma City. During the convention, resolutions were adopted, including policies supporting dedication to help win the ongoing war with the highest possible production goals and endorsement of the parity principle for agriculture. At the meeting, the board also appointed the position of executive director to Dan Arnold, a popular, enthusiastic motivator who carried the Farm Bureau message to every part of the state.
