In 1990, Oklahoma Farm Bureau began presenting the Meritorious Service Award.
The Meritorious Service award was presented to legislators who had a strong voting record for Farm Bureau issues and showed support for rural and agricultural issues. The awards were based on a county Farm Bureau’s nomination and evaluation of the lawmaker’s adherence to the values and issues important to rural Oklahoma.
Today, Oklahoma Farm Bureau presents a similar award, the OKFB Champion Award. Click here to see the list of 2016 Champion Award recipients.
