In 2001, Oklahoma Farm Bureau’s Safety Services added a second fire safety training trailer to the program. The trailers provide a non-toxic, realistic smoke simulation, providing a safe learning environment. Students learn to crawl out of a smoke simulated area, feeling their way around heated doors. Children can also practice escaping from a burning house. The program features safety lessons targeted to grade school students. Basic topics of the program include: home evacuation; smoke detectors; common household hazards which create fires; and what to do in case of a fire. Click here to learn more about the program.
