Commemorative courtyard dedication

Oklahoma Farm Bureau dedicated the organization’s new memorial courtyard on March 7, 2017, in front of a crowd of OKFB members, staff and guests.

The courtyard, located on the southeast corner of the OKFB home office building in Oklahoma City, recognizes all 77 Oklahoma county Farm Bureaus with 77 metal pillars containing soil collected from the county each pillar represents.

The courtyard mirrors Oklahoma’s geography and diversity using elevated planting beds to represent the state’s elevation changes. Additionally, grasses are used as decorative plants on the western side of the courtyard, while trees and shrubs are featured more on the eastern side of the plaza.

The courtyard also features dramatic lighting, creating a beautiful space in the evening hours.
